WalkMyPlan Connector
Documentation · July 2026
The WalkMyPlan connector lets an AI assistant turn your floor-plan file — DWG, DXF, PDF, DWFX or IFC — into an editable, measured 3D model and virtual walkthrough, straight from the chat. Upload by link, ask room-size questions, edit walls and furniture by instruction, and share the result.
Connecting
- From the Claude directory: add the WalkMyPlan connector, then approve the connection. You'll sign in to (or create) your free WalkMyPlan account on the consent page.
- From any MCP client: add a remote MCP server with the URL
https://mcp.walkmyplan.com/mcp(Streamable HTTP, OAuth sign-in — no API key needed).
What you can do
"Give me a link to upload my floor plan" "How many rooms does my plan have, and how big is the kitchen?" "Remove the wall between the kitchen and the living room" "Put a TV and a sofa in the living room, then give me the 3D link" "Share the plan with my architect as an editor" "Undo that" · "Roll back to revision 3" · "Who changed what?"Speak in plan language
The assistant sees the same plan you do — room numbers, named marks, and real measurements — so you can point at things precisely:
"Move the pool to point A" "Decorate room 8 as a kids' bedroom" "Remove the toilet from room 4" "How wide is the wall between the kitchen and the living room?" "Is there room for a 2-meter sofa on the north wall?"- Named marks (anchors): drop a pin on the plan in the viewer — it gets a name like
AorB— then just say the name in chat. The assistant can also mark spots for you ("I marked the best TV spot as point C — take a look"). - Room numbers: every room has an id and a name; say either — "room 8" or "the small bedroom".
- Real measurements: answers come from the converted model's measured geometry — areas, lengths, and distances in meters, not guesses.
How uploads work
Files can't travel through the chat itself. Ask for an upload link — the connector returns a private, 15-minute link where you drop your file. Conversion starts automatically and the assistant follows the progress and hands you the viewer link when the walkable 3D model is ready.

Good to know
- Measurements are taken from the converted model's geometry. Verify critical dimensions against the original drawing.
- Edits are for visualization and planning — WalkMyPlan does not check structural safety or building codes.
- Your plans are private to your account unless you share them, are never used to train AI models, and can be deleted any time (trash keeps them recoverable for 30 days).
- The assistant asks for confirmation before destructive actions like deleting a plan or revoking shared links.
Read: list your plans, read plan structure, answer measured questions.
Write: create plans from your uploads, apply the edits you ask for, rename, manage sharing, move plans to trash.
It can only access plans belonging to (or shared with) the account you connect.
