Terms of Service

By using WalkMyPlan, you agree to these terms.
Beta software
WalkMyPlan is beta software. Features may change, break, or be removed, and availability is not guaranteed.
Automated interpretation
Plans and 3D models generated by WalkMyPlan are automated interpretations for visualization only. They are not certified drawings, engineering documents, construction instructions, measurements for purchasing, or legal records. Always verify against the original files and the responsible professional.
Human-assisted rebuilds ("Human Boost")
On request, and at our discretion, a member of our team may manually rebuild a plan from your uploaded file. A human-assisted rebuild is a sketch-grade visualization exactly like an automated one: windows, doors, wall lengths, room labels and objects may be misread, mismatched or placed incorrectly, especially in dense, hand-drawn, low-quality or foreign-language drawings. It is provided for viewing and sharing only. It is not a certified, measured or professional document, must not be relied on for architectural, engineering, construction, purchasing or permit purposes, and we accept no responsibility or liability for its accuracy or completeness. You are responsible for checking every detail against your original drawing. We may decline any rebuild request without giving a reason; requesting a rebuild is free, and payment is taken only after we state a price and you accept it.
Your uploaded files
By uploading a plan file (DWG, PDF, PNG, JPG, WebP, or IFC), you grant WalkMyPlan a license to store, open, render, convert, analyze, and otherwise process the file, both automatically and through manual review by our team, so we can provide the service, diagnose problems, and improve the conversion engine. We do not sell your files or share them with third parties. You can delete your plans at any time, which removes the files from active use.
Your plans remain yours
You keep ownership of the files you upload and the intellectual-property rights you already hold in them. You confirm that you have permission to upload each file and to give us the limited rights below, including where a drawing belongs to a client, architect, engineer, or other third party.
Limited permission to use uploaded plans
When you upload a file, you give WalkMyPlan a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to host, copy, convert, render, analyze, and create internal derived data from that file and its generated models only to:
- provide, operate, secure, and support WalkMyPlan;
- investigate failed or inaccurate conversions;
- test, evaluate, train, and improve WalkMyPlan's plan-reading technology, including its artificial-intelligence and machine-learning models; and
- produce a corrected or reprocessed version of your plan and notify you at the email address connected to your account or support request; and
- show brief, de-identified excerpts of uploaded plans and the models generated from them in WalkMyPlan product demonstrations, tutorials, and promotional material. De-identified means we remove or obscure names, addresses, contact details, and title-block information, and we never publish the original file itself. If you would rather your plans never appear this way, tell us at support@walkmyplan.com and we will exclude them.
These activities may include automated analysis and limited manual review by authorized personnel or service providers who are required to protect the file. We do not sell or rent uploaded plans, license them as a drawing or dataset, use them for advertising, use them to build products unrelated to WalkMyPlan, or permit a service provider to train its own models on them.
If you delete a plan, its user-facing project is removed as described in our data-deletion instructions. You may also ask us to remove an identifiable plan from future testing and improvement. Aggregated or de-identified measurements, extraction rules, and model improvements already produced may remain when they cannot reasonably identify you or reproduce your plan.
Free editing window and paid activation
Editing on the free tier may be time-limited. When a free editing window applies, new accounts receive it (measured in days from your first successful build) and can create and edit plans without limits while it runs. When the window ends, your plans become view-only: viewing, walking, and sharing stay free, your links keep working, and nothing is deleted. Editing a plan after the window requires activating it through a paid option (such as a Project Pass or a Pro or Studio subscription), each with its own duration and plan limits as described on the pricing page. Plans you invite others to edit follow the same rule: collaborators can edit for as long as the plan's owner keeps it active. We may adjust the length of the free window and the paid options over time; such changes never delete your plans or break your links.
Acceptable use
Do not upload unlawful material, attempt to disrupt the service, bypass limits, scrape the service in bulk, or use WalkMyPlan to create a competing dataset. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or analyze the service or its outputs for the purpose of reproducing WalkMyPlan's extraction technology, and you may not use generated models, plans, or data exports to build, train, or improve a competing product or service.
No warranty
The service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.
Liability cap
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WalkMyPlan and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Any total liability is capped at the amount you paid WalkMyPlan in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes
